The fee for the Child and Dog competition is 5 EUR for all entries.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • As of August 1, 2024, a new FCI standard for poodles has come into effect, allowing multi-colored poodles to participate in the show. All colors of multi-colored poodles will be judged together.
  • Entry list will be available at www.dogshow.sk from 23.08.2026. The entry list also includes a catalogue number, which must be printed in advance.
  • A detailed program with approximate timings will be published after the last entry deadline.
  • Judging will take place in 2 rings.
  • If you are scheduled to enter two different rings at the same time, please inform the ring steward in advance. We will arrange a break.
  • Each exhibited dog will receive a written critique, which you will receive at the Show Office after the assessment of the entire color variety.
  • Exhibition tents may only be set up in sections designated by the organizers on the grassy area.
  • Exhibitors can come to set up tents starting on Friday, 28.08.2026, after 18:00. Tent setup will not be allowed before this time.
  • All special competitions must be pre-registered via dogshow.sk. On-site registration is not possible.
  • A printed catalog will not be issued to each exhibitor. It will be available ONLINE or for viewing at the venue.
  • Changing the class can be done by editing your entry directly in your account on dogshow.sk no later than 13.08.2026. Class change is free of charge.

  • Parking is available 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 near the show area.

SHOW CLASSES

  • Minor Puppy Class – age from completed vaccination (rabies vaccination + 21 days) up to 6 months,
  • Puppy Class – age from 6 to 9 months,
  • Junior Class – age from 9 to 18 months,
  • Intermediate Class – age from 15 to 24 months,
  • Open Class – age from 15 months,
  • Champion Class – age from 15 months (for holders of National or International Champion titles),
  • Honor Class – age from 15 months. Open to dogs holding a recognized International or National Champion title, National Winner title, Club Winner title, or Specialty Show Winner title. These titles must have been obtained in adult competition. No eligibility for CAC, and does not compete for Club Winner, Specialty Winner, or Best of Breed titles.
  • Veteran Class – age from 8 years,
  • Breeding class (open only for Slovakian dogs) – age from 15 months. Intended for dogs that need to be evaluated at one of the SKCHP shows for participation in breeding evaluation (bonitation). Show grooming according to the FCI standard is not required. Only a qualification grade is awarded, with no eligibility to compete for any additional titles awarded at the show.

SPECIAL COMPETITIONS

  • Child and dog: children up to 9 years of age – contact of child and poodle is judged.
  • Juniorhandling (2 categories: 9-13 years and 14-17 years) – can also compete with a poodle that was not shown at the show.
  • The best couple: an owner (100% same owners on both dogs) can enter his dog and bitch of the same size and colour that have been judged on the show.
  • The best breeder´s group:Breeder may enter the competition by presenting a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 individuals of the same color and size from their own breeding, from different litters (at least from two different fathers or mothers) and have been judged at the show. The individuals do not have to be owned by the breeder.
  • Best offsprings after the Stud Dog: Owner of stud dog may enter the competition by presenting at least 2 individuals sired by the stud dog and the stud dog itself. The offsprings after the stud dog do not have to be of the same color. The balance of type and quality of the offsprings is judged.
  • Best offsprings after the Breeding bitch: Owner of breeding bitch may enter the competition by presenting at least 2 individuals after the breeding bitch and several fathers and the breeding bitch itself. The offsprings do not have to be of the same color. The balance of type and quality of the offsprings is judged.

FREE COMPETITIONS

Only Exhibitors who receive a nomination card from the judge during the judging in the ring are eligible to enter the competition. First place is awarded.

FUN COMPETITIONS

  • FUN competitions will take place on Saturday before the official final competitions.
  • FUN competitions focus on obedience, agility, creativity, and are primarily aimed at entertaining the audience.
  • Registration will take place on Saturdayand is free of chargeFUN competitions are available only for poodles.
  • FUN competitions will take place in the main ring in the following order:
    • The best dog´s costume (only 1. place is awarded) – Dress up your dog to an original costume.
    • The best talent (only 1. place is awarded) – the owner must perform various commands/tricks or the entire choreography with his poodle within a time limit of 2 minutes. It is allowed to reward the dog during the show.
    • The fastest call in (only 1. place is awarded) – the poodle must run as fast as possible across the track with scattered „traps“ when called by the owner. The fastest poodle wins. It is possible to call the dog in any way, but the owner must stay in the designated place. A helper/volunteer holds the dog before the start
    • The best jumper (only 1. place is awarded) – The poodle must overcome an obstacle or a series of obstacles on the owner’s command. The overall impression and style of the jump are evaluated.

WELFARE

  • The exhibitor is responsible for the protection and well-being of the dog at the show.
  • It is forbidden to expose dogs to situations of discomfort and health complications, such as leaving the dog in the car during high temperatures or cruel treatment of the dog.
  • It is strictly forbidden to lift a dog off the ground or onto a table by pulling on the show lead or the tail.
  • Tying dogs on gallows outside the time when the dogs are groomed is strictly prohibited.
  • Violation of this prohibition will lead to exclusion from the current and other shows organized by the Slovenský klub chovateľov pudlov.

VETERINARY REGULATIONS

Each exhibitor and visitor are obliged to submit a Pet passport confirming the valid vaccination against rabies and infectious diseases at least 21 days and at most 1 year before the date of show, or whitin the validity of the given vaccination. We also strongly recommend vaccination against infectious larygotracheitis.


GENERAL PROVISIONS

  • Only dogs with FCI pedigree may participate in the show.
  • For the Minor Puppy and Puppy Classes, it is also possible to submit another proof of the dog’s pedigree (for example: puppy card, metric certificate, registration card, or a sample of the future pedigree certificate). The document must include: the dog’s name, breed, sex, date of birth, studbook abbreviation, and registration number. This does not apply to puppies born in Slovakia.
  • By registering, the Exhibitor agrees to pay entry fees.
  • It is not possible to register a dog for the show or to assign it to another class on the day of the show.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to change judges and adjust the time schedule.
  • If the show is not held for objective reasons, the fees shall be used to cover the necessary costs. The organizer will refund 30% to the Exhibitors.
  • The Exhibitor shall be liable for any damage caused by him or his dog during the show. The Organizer is not responsible for damage caused to the dog.
  • The Exhibitor is obliged to comply with the provisions of the Show Regulations of the SKCHP and the Show Regulations of the SKJ.
  • The Exhibitor is obliged to follow the instructions of the ring personal and the Organizer.
  • The Exhibitor must enter the ring in time and be marked with the correct catalogue number, otherwise the Exhibitor loses its right to be judged.
  • An Exhibitor who leaves a show before it ends shall lose his right to all prizes.
  • It is prohibited to treat a dog with a substance that changes the structure, colour or form of the coat, skin or muzzle.
  • Loud encouragement (double handling) of dogs from outside the ring is forbidden.
  • The judge is obliged to exclude aggressive dogs from the show ring.
  • Judges shall be assessed against the applicable standards issued by the International Cynological Federation (FCI).
  • The protest may be submitted only for formal reasons and in writing at the show office during the show, until the end of the judging in the ring, at the same time as the deposit of €100, which will be forfeited if the Exhibitor makes a decision to the detriment. A protest against the referee’s decision shall not be admissible.
  • Free running of dogs in the show area is forbidden.
  • By registering the dog for the show, pursuant to Section 13 of Act No.18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection, the Exhibitor gives his consent to the processing of personal data (name, surname) and agrees to their publication and publication of photo documentation from the show and results of the show on the website pudelklub.sk and on the social media Facebook and Instagram

Titles for Slovak beauty champion:

  • CAJC SR: the title can be obtained by an individual in the Junior class, awarded with the Excellent 1, separately male and female.
  • CAC SR: the title can be obtained by an individual in the Intermediate, Open and Champion class, awarded with the Excellent 1, separately male and female.
  • Reserve CAC SR: the title can be obtained by an individual in the Intermediate, Open, and Champion class, awarded with the Excellent 2, if the CAC title was awarded in their class.

Titles/candidacies for champion of Slovak Poodle Club (SKCHP):

  • SKCHP Minor puppy champion Candidate: the title can be obtained by a poodle in the Minor puppy class, awarded with the Very promising 1, separately male and female.
  • SKCHP Puppy champion Candidate: the title can be obtained by a poodle in the Puppy class, awarded with the Very promising 1, separately male and female.
  • SKCHP Junior champion Candidate: the title can be obtained by a poodle in the Junior class, awarded with Excellent 1, separately male and female.
  • SKCHP champion Candidate: the title can be obtained by a poodle in the Intermediate, Open or Champion class, awarded with Excellent 1, separately male and female.
  • SKCHP Veteran champion Candidate: the title can be obtained by a poodle in the Veteran class, awarded with Excellent 1, separately male and female.
  • SKCHP Honour champion Candidate: the title can be obtained by a poodle in the Honour class, awarded with Excellent 1, separately male and female.

 

Titles of Club poodle show (Saturday):

  • Junior club winner: Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male and female. CAJC title holders compete for the title.
  • Club winner: Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male and female. CAC title holders compete for the title.
  • Veteran club winner: Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male and female. Excellent 1 from Veteran class compete for the title.

Titles of Speciality poodle show (Sunday):

  • Junior Speciality Winner: Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male and female. CAJC title holders compete for the title.
  • Speciality Winner: Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male and female. CAC title holders compete for the title.
  • Veteran Speciality Winner: Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male and female. Excellent 1 from Veteran class compete for the title.

 

Best of breed titles:

  • Best Junior of Breed (BOJ): Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male or female. CAJC title holders compete for the title.
  • Best of Breed (BOB): Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male or female. Junior Club Winners/Junior Specality winners, Club winners/Speciality winners and Veteran Club Winners/Veteran Specality winners compete for the title.
  • Best of Opposite Sex (BOS): The title is awarded to an individual of the opposite sex to the BOB winner.
  • Best veteran of breed (BOV): Awarded separately in all sizes and colours for male or female. Veteran Club Winners/Veteran Specality winners compete for the title.

 

Final competition titles:

  • Minor Puppy BIS: Males and females in all colours and sizes, which have won the title SKCHP Minor puppy champion Candidate, compete together for the title. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • Puppy BIS: Males and females in all colours and sizes, which have won the title SKCHP Puppy champion Candidate, compete together for the title. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • Honour Class BIS: Males and females in all colours and sizes, which have won the title SKCHP Honour champion Candidate, compete together for the title. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • Veteran BIS: Males and females in all colours and sizes, which have won the title SKCHP Veteran champion Candidate, compete together for the title. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • The best of size (Saturday) – All Junior Club Winners and Club Winners, both males and females together, compete for this title, each size separately. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • The best of colour (Sunday) – All Junior Speciality Winners and Speciality Winners, both males and females together, compete for this title, each colour separately. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • BIS BOS: All holders of the BOS title compete for this title, across all colors and sizes. First place is awarded.
  • JUNIOR BIS: Holders of the Junior BOB titles compete for this title, across all colors and sizes. Places I. – III. are awarded.
  • BEST IN SHOW: All holders of the BOB title compete for this title. Places I. – IV. are awarded.
  • Supreme Best in Show: Holders of the BIS and BIS JUNIOR titles from both days compete for this title. The competition takes place on Sunday. First place is awarded.

Mrs. Eija Halonen is a highly respected Finnish breeder, professional dog groomer, and internationally experienced judge. She has been dedicated to the Poodle breed since 1981, breeding under the renowned kennel name Haydee’s, with a long-standing focus on black and brown toy, miniature, and medium poodles.

For more than four decades, Mrs. Halonen has remained an active breeder and successful exhibitor. Her poodles have been presented at numerous dog shows across Europe, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Baltic countries, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, Russia, and Germany, demonstrating her deep and enduring involvement in the international show scene.

She was first licensed to judge Poodles in 1993 and has since steadily expanded her judging qualifications. Today, she is approved to judge approximately half of the breeds in FCI Group 9. Throughout her judging career, Mrs. Halonen has officiated at dog shows across the Nordic countries as well as internationally in Hungary, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Austria, where her expertise in companion and toy breeds is highly valued.

Mr. Boris Chapiro is an all-rounder judge of the French Kennel Club (Société Centrale Canine). He began his cynological career in the late 1980s and has since established himself as a highly respected figure in the international dog show community.

For over 20 years, together with his wife, he has been devoted to breeding fawn Standard, Miniature, and Toy Poodles under the kennel name Iz Volzhskoy Serenady. Their breeding program has produced numerous World and European Winners as well as champions of many countries, reflecting his deep and long-standing dedication to the Poodle breed.

Mr. Chapiro is widely recognized as a Poodle specialist and has judged the breed at many prestigious international shows and specialty events, including Poodle specialties held in conjunction with European Dog Show. In 2024, he had the honor of judging Poodles at the World Dog Show, further confirming his international reputation within the breed.

During his judging career, he has officiated at major international dog shows in France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Romania, Croatia, Russia, Portugal, Spain, Gibraltar, Moldova, Slovakia, Slovenia, Belarus, Poland, Finland, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Cyprus, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine, Israel, Thailand, Argentina, Switzerland, Greece, and Canada.

He has also served on the judging panels of the World Dog Show in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2024, as well as the European Dog Show in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2024.
